CAIRO – 9 June 2021: Deputy Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for Tourism Affairs Ghada Shalaby received Ambassador of the State of Rwanda to Cairo Alfred Gakuba Kalisa, to discuss ways of cooperation in the field of tourism.

During the meeting, Shalaby referred to her meeting with the ambassadors of African countries last week on the sidelines of the celebration of Africa Day, where she stressed the need for cooperation and integration among African countries to achieve the interests of these countries and the prosperity of their people.

She also indicated during the meeting that Egypt has many tourism potentials and is characterized by the diversity of its unique tourism product, which includes cultural tourism, recreational tourism, sports tourism and others.

Moreover, Shalaby added that African countries have many capabilities that distinguish each country from the other, and that integration between these countries will lead to attracting more in-bound tourism to them.

For his part, the Rwandan Ambassador Alfred Gakuba Kalisa praised the proposal of integration among African countries in the field of tourism by organizing tourism programs that include more than one African tourist destination, which will have a significant positive impact on increasing incoming tourism to these destinations.
