CAIRO – 1 June 2017: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) indices increased in Thursday’s transactions on sales of Egyptian investors and Arab institutions.
The EGX’s main index, EGX30, inched up 0.96 percent, standing at 13,467 points, while the small and mid-cap enterprises index EGX70 rose 0.33 percent, registering 573.41 points.
Closing at 1,369 points, the all-embracing EGX100 hiked 0.37 percent.
Market capitalization gained LE 2.7 billion ($150 million), recording LE 678.62 billion, up from LE 675.93 billion.
Over the last week, the EGX30 index surged 1.63 percent, registering 13,094 points. Meanwhile, the small and mid-cap enterprises EGX70 index rose 0.49 percent, standing at 588 points, while the all-embracing EGX100 index increased 0.94 percent, totaling 1,385 points.
