CAIRO – 29 August 2017: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) saw a mixed performance at the end of Tuesday’s session,

The benchmark index EGX30 increased 1.4 percent to close at 13,195 points.

The small and mid-cap index EGX70 fell 0.78 percent to end at 690 points. The broader index EGX100 index also went down 0.30 percent to close at 1,559 points.

Market capitalization stood at LE 699.34 billion. Turnover registered LE 747 million, while traded volume achieved 180.6 million shares.

Local and foreign investors were net buyers with a total of LE 950,513 and LE 8.5 million, respectively, while Arab traders sold for LE 9.4 million.

The Financial Services excluding Banks led sectors in terms of traded values and volumes by LE 201.7 million and 82 million, respectively.

Alexandria New Medical Center topped gainers and hiked 7.98 percent, while Nozha International Hospital led the worst performers and declined 7.5 percent.
