GAFI delivers contracts to investors in Damietta Furniture City

CAIRO – 5 September 2023: Chairman of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) Hossam Heiba handed Tuesday contracts to investors who would operate in Damietta Furniture City (DFC).

Heiba stated that the Furniture Technology Center introduced in the DFC to assist investors with modernizing the industry was ready to enter service, saying that Egyptian products were able to compete globally given their durability and quality of design.  

The DFC consists of 54 hangars comprising 1,348 workshops spanning over 129,000 square meters. There are also 145 factories and 13 storehouses stretching on 590,500 square meters.

In addition, 244,000 square meters were allocated to establishing office buildings, convention center, hotels, shopping mall, technical education center, hospital, and other services.
