Egypt adds 450,000 feddans to agricultural area in Sinai

CAIRO - 26 February 2023: The Egyptian state has added 450,000 feddans to the agricultural area in Sinai, established 5 new industrial zones and focused on tourism development, the Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli stated.
 
The Prime Minister added, during the line-up of the equipment participating in the implementation of the state plan for the development and reconstruction of Sinai, Sunday, that the state focused on economic development, in order to achieve real development and benefit from Sinai's capabilities.
 
Madbouli pointed out that the focus has been on three main axes: agriculture, land reclamation, industrial development and tourism development.
 
“Sinai has many arable areas, in addition to the presence of large areas that can be cultivated, but the challenge was to provide water, for the possibility of cultivating these lands,” he pointed out.
