CAIRO – 5 November 2017: The Arab Parliament condemned the firing of a ballistic missile by the Houthi militia towards the north of Riyadh city in Saudi Arabia, the Arab Parliament speaker Meshaal bin Faham Al-Sulami said.

Sulami added in a statement on Sunday that this act is a real challenge, violating United Nations resolutions and threatening the stability of regional and international security.

Saudi royal air defense forces intercepted the missile north of King Khaled airport and there were no reported casualties.

“The Arab Parliament stands with the Saudi government and people in all measures taken by the kingdom to maintain its security and stability in the face of this brutal aggression,” the statement added.

“Such actions, which target the security and stability of the kingdom and the region, will enhance the Arab coalition countries’ determination to restore legitimacy in Yemen,” the statement read.
