CAIRO – 11 August 2017: Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry Friday received a phone call from his Sudanese counterpart Ibrahim Ghandour who extended his country's condolences over Alexandria’s train collision, which took place earlier Friday, leaving dozens injured and killed, according to a statement by foreign ministry spokesperson Ahmed Abu Zeid.

Two trains destined from Cairo and Port Said collided at the station in the Khorshid district of Alexandria on Friday. The death toll reached 42 so far, with another 133 injured.
