CAIRO - 8 July 2026: Egyptian-Turkish joint training exercise 'Golden Eagle' has commenced at the Egyptian Ministry of Defense training bases.
This bilateral drill brings together commandos and paratroopers from the Egyptian Armed Forces and Turkish Armed Forces to share tactical expertise and improve military teamwork.
The exercise, involving elements from the Egyptian Paratroopers and Commandos and Turkish Special Forces, will take place over several days at combat training ranges under the command of the Egyptian Paratroopers and Commandos.
The first phase of the exercise included a series of theoretical lectures on various topics to standardize operational concepts and achieve integration and cohesion among the participating units. An exhibition of weapons and equipment used in the training was also organized.
The exercise is scheduled to include a number of practical activities and exercises related to the planned topics and objectives. These will facilitate the exchange of tactical expertise between the two sides and maximize the benefit for the participating forces.
The exercise is part of the joint training plan of the Egyptian Armed Forces with their counterparts from brotherly and friendly nations, aimed at strengthening cooperation in various military fields.
