Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi spoke by phone with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, on Monday, to congratulate him on winning the presidential election and being re-elected for a new term, said Presidential Spokesperson Ahmed Fahmy in a statement.
Erdoğan won another term of presidency after he garnered 52.16 percent of votes in the run-off election that held on Sunday, beating the opposition candidate Kılıçdaroğlu who obtained 47.84 percent of the votes.
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said that his government will encourage Turkish companies to increase their investments in Egypt, especially in tourism sector.
"It is time to take concrete steps. During Shoukry's visit, we can take steps to appoint ambassadors,” Çavuşoğlu was quoted as saying in an interview with A Haber T.V. on April 10.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shokry will hold a visit to the Turkish capital Ankara on Thursday fulfilling the invitation of counterpart.
In an interview with A Haber T.V., Çavuşoğlu said that Shoukry will visit Turkey soon, perhaps this week, adding that the details of the visit will be announced next Wednesday, adding that there are developments regarding the return of the ambassadors of the two countries to their work.
"During the calls, the foreign minister expressed his sincere wishes for the Arab and Islamic peoples to enjoy stability and prosperity," said Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ahmed Abu Zeid in a statement.

It is scheduled that both FMs will hold a press conference Saturday after their talks.
The assistance came upon President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s directives to support the Syrian and Turkish victims affected by the twin earthquakes (7.8 and 7.5 magnitudes) that claimed the lives of more than 50,000 people since Feb. 6.
Shoukry’s visit to Turkey and Syria is the first visit by an Egyptian foreign minister in a decade.
