CAIRO – 2 July 2026: The Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) on Thursday dispatched its 226th Zad Al Izzah (Provisions of Dignity) aid convoy to the Gaza Strip, as part of its role as a national mechanism for coordinating relief deliveries to the enclave.
The convoy transported around 4,991 tons of aid, including food parcels, flour, medical supplies, relief materials and fuel for hospitals and other vital facilities in Gaza.
The ERC said the convoy also included clothing and tents to help meet the basic needs of families affected by the ongoing humanitarian crisis.
According to the ERC, more than 1 million tons of humanitarian and relief aid have been delivered to Gaza since the start of the crisis through the efforts of more than 65,000 volunteers.
