CAIRO – 10 May 2026: Egypt expressed support for all security and legal measures taken by Bahraini authorities to protect the country’s security and people and safeguard people’s resources and internal stability.

Bahraini interior ministry on Saturday announced uncovering “the principal organization” linked to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and the ideology of “Wilayat al-Faqih,” arresting 41 of its members.

In a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Saturday, Egypt affirmed its full solidarity with Bahrain and renewed its rejection of any attempts to destabilize countries in the region.

Egypt stressed its firm position that the security of Bahrain and the other Gulf states is an integral part of Egypt’s national security.

Iran has launched thousands of retaliatory drone and missile attacks against several Arab countries, including Bahrain, killing and injuring hundreds since the start of the US-Israeli strikes on Iranian territory on February 28.
