CAIRO – 23 April 2026: The Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) said on Thursday it received the 37th group of wounded and ill Palestinians from Gaza through the Rafah border crossing.
Meanwhile, the ERC said it dispatched a new humanitarian aid convoy to the war-battered enclave carrying more than 5,480 tons of supplies under the 181st “Zad Al-Izzah – From Egypt to Gaza” convoy.

The ERC said it continues to provide humanitarian services at Rafah, facilitating the entry and exit of patients and their companions, and offering support including hot meals, clothing, personal care items, and return kits for those heading back to Gaza.
The new aid shipment comprised several trucks carrying comprehensive aid shipments.
These included more than 2,610 tons of food supplies and flour, around 1,365 tons of medical, relief and personal care items, and over 1,505 tons of fuel to support hospitals and vital facilities in the enclave.

The ERC also sent tents for displaced people, along with clothing items, blankets, and tarpaulins.
Total humanitarian aid delivered by the ERC to Gaza has exceeded 900,000 tons, supported by the efforts of more than 65,000 volunteers, the ERC added.
