CAIRO – 1 March 2026: EgyptAir said it will continue suspending flights from Cairo to several regional destinations until further notice due to escalating developments affecting air traffic across neighboring countries.
In a statement, the national carrier said the affected routes include Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Beirut, Doha, Amman, Dammam, Bahrain, Baghdad, Erbil and Kuwait.
The airline said it is closely monitoring the situation through its Integrated Operations Control Center (IOCC) in coordination with relevant authorities and overseas stations.
EgyptAir urged customers to review their bookings through its call center, website or the nearest sales office for updates on their flights.
Airspaces over several countries including Iran, Israel, Iraq, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Syria and the UAE have been closed since Saturday, when Iran started missile attacks on the US military presence in several Arab countries in response to intensive US-Israeli strikes.
