CAIRO – 26 February 2026: The Egyptian Armed Forces held their annual celebration marking the anniversary of the 10th of Ramadan victory 1393 AH, the day in the Islamic calendar which corresponds to the 6th of October 1973 War.
The celebration was attended by many commanders, officers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers, along with senior religious figures from the Ministry of Awqaf and Al-Azhar, the army said in a statement on Thursday.
Maj. Gen. Ihab Mohamed El-Fayoumi, Assistant Minister of Defense delivered a speech during the event on behalf of Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production Lt. Gen. Ashraf Salem Zaher.
The assistant defense minister commended the Egyptian Armed Forces’ heroes for writing a historic chapter on the 10th of Ramadan that remains a source of pride and inspiration for Egyptians.
El-Fayoumi emphasized that their sacrifices have produced an achievement recognized worldwide.
He stressed the Armed Forces’ determination to carry forward the legacy of the victory generation through continued dedication, sacrifice, maintaining the highest levels of readiness to safeguard the nation and protect its territory.
