Egypt’s Strategic Command Headquarters marks a major step in state readiness and defense modernization.
The Egyptian and Turkish air forces have concluded a multi-day joint air force exercise at a number of air bases in Egypt, the Egyptian military said in a statement on Sunday.
The drills will continue over several days at a number of air bases across the country.
Egypt’s participation came within the framework of supporting and strengthening military cooperation relations with sisterly and friendly countries, according to the Egyptian Armed Forces spokesperson.
The main phase included the execution of combat operations aimed at developing the offensive, with support from Air Force elements that carried out reconnaissance, protection, and support sorties to assist ground forces.

El-Sisi said the region is going through “delicate and critical circumstances,” stressing that Egypt believes the path forward for the region should not be based on occupation, destruction, or bloodshed.
Egypt and Pakistan launched the joint “Raad-2” drill, bringing together paratroopers and special forces.
In a statement, the military said the initiative aims to promote military and national awareness among various segments of society and to highlight the achievements, heroism and sacrifices of Egyptians who gave their lives in defense of the country.
The celebration was attended by many commanders, officers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers, along with senior religious figures from the Ministry of Awqaf and Al-Azhar.
The program also featured training activities and a display of vehicles designated for the mission.
The meeting discussed bilateral military cooperation between the armed forces of both countries.
The Egyptian Armed Forces organized the training in cooperation with the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development (EAPD) under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at a military police management unit.
The forces uncovered a drug-processing plant and several storage sites in a mountainous area of Sinai after receiving intelligence that smugglers were using the location to manufacture and stockpile narcotics.
Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, met his Qatari counterpart, Lieutenant General Jassim bin Mohammed bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Mannai, in Cairo during an official multi-day visit.
The meeting formed part of the Armed Forces’ efforts to strengthen community outreach in governorates within the remit of field armies and military regions.

Naval units operating within Egypt’s Southern Fleet intercepted a smuggling attempt at sea, successfully seizing a boat carrying 7,792 bundles of hashish and 17 rolls of THC-based narcotics. The estimated value of the confiscated items is approximately LE 1.164 billion, excluding the value of weapons seized during the operations. All confiscated materials have been handed over to the competent authorities for legal proceedings.
The troop presence is conducted in full coordination with parties to the peace treaty with Israel, the statement said, stressing that Egypt remains fully committed to the agreement.
