File- Voters flock to a polling station to cast their ballots on the first day of phase one of Egypt’s 2025 House elections
CAIRO- 22 November 2025: The Supreme Administrative Court will begin hearing appeals tomorrow, Sunday, regarding the results of the first phase of the 2025 parliamentary elections.
This comes after the conclusion of the appeals period, which the National Elections Authority announced had lasted two days, from Wednesday to Thursday.
A total of 251 appeals were filed during the first phase across various governorates, including 47 from Giza. These appeals varied in nature, ranging from requests to annul the entire electoral process to demands for canceling runoff elections in specific districts, as well as appeals seeking to invalidate the announced results.
Appeals were submitted to the Supreme Administrative Court of the State Council, the judicial authority responsible for resolving electoral disputes related to the conduct of the electoral process, vote counting, and tabulation procedures.
The court is required to issue rulings on all appeals within 10 days of their submission, ensuring that the timeline for announcing the final results remains on schedule.
