Appeals
A total of 251 appeals were filed during the first phase across various governorates, including 47 from Giza. These appeals varied in nature, ranging from requests to annul the entire electoral process to demands for canceling runoff elections in specific districts, as well as appeals seeking to invalidate the announced results.
Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has given his approval to a draft law that introduces amendments to certain provisions of the criminal procedures law on Wednesday.
The court then adjudicates the appeals submitted by the losing candidates or the winners, and those running in the run-off round during a period of 10 days from August 22 to 31.
