CAIRO – 15 November 2025: Egypt has firmly opposed any efforts to divide the Gaza Strip or displace Palestinians, Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty said in an interview with Italian daily La Repubblica.

Abdelatty highlighted Egypt’s ongoing efforts to uphold the Sharm El-Sheikh agreement and implement all its provisions, including security arrangements, the transitional phase, and strengthening the role of the Palestinian Authority.

He stressed that maintaining the territorial integrity of Palestinian lands is a fundamental pillar for any fair, lasting, and comprehensive peace, and emphasized that a two-state solution remains the only viable path to regional stability.

Abdelatty also outlined preparations for Egypt’s hosting of the upcoming international conference on early recovery and reconstruction in Gaza.
