Hot weather to be witnessed in Egypt Tuesday - file
CAIRO - 1 July 2025: The Egyptian Meteorological Authority has revealed a new increase in humidity levels across most parts of the country, increasing the perceived temperature by an average of 4 degrees Celsius compared to the temperature measured in the shade.

- Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt:
Nighttime maximum: 83-87%
Daytime minimum: 35-40%
- North Coast:
Nighttime maximum: 92-96%
Daytime minimum: 50-55%
- North Upper Egypt:
Nighttime maximum: 47-55%
Daytime minimum: 20-25%
- South Upper Egypt:
Nighttime maximum: 25-32%
Daytime minimum: 10-15%
Tuesday will see a slight rise in temperatures across most parts of the country, with extremely hot and humid weather prevailing during the day across most parts, and hot and humid on the North Coast, with moderate temperatures at night and in the early morning.
Dr. Mahmoud Shaheen, Director General of the Weather Forecasting and Early Warning Department at the Egyptian Meteorological Authority, revealed that today's humidity is expected to rise, increasing the sensation of heat by 2-3 degrees Celsius. Mist is expected from 8:00 to 4:00 a.m. in areas from the north of the country to Greater Cairo, northern Upper Egypt, the Canal cities, and central Sinai.
He noted that maritime navigation is also expected to be disrupted in some areas along the coasts of Marsa Matrouh, El Alamein, Alexandria, and Beheira. Wind speeds are expected to range from 50 to 70 km/h, and waves are expected to rise from 2 to 3.5 meters.
