Sisi pardons some convicts on occasion of Eid al-Fitr, Sinai Liberation Day

CAIRO – 28 March 2025: President El-Sisi Issues Pardon for Some Convicts on the Occasion of Eid al-Fitr and Sinai Liberation Day

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi issued Decision No. 158 of 2025, granting a pardon for the remaining sentences of certain convicts in honor of Eid al-Fitr (the Feast of Breaking the Fast) and Sinai Liberation Day, which will be observed on April 25, 2025.

The four-day celebration of Eid al-Fitr is set to begin on March 29 and conclude on April 1, 2025. Eid al-Fitr will also mark the first of Shawwal in the Islamic year 1446 AH.
