CAIRO – 26 March 2025: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi emphasized that Egypt will do everything in its power to support the just Palestinian cause, while maintaining the Gaza ceasefire and proceeding to the execution of its remaining phases.
As he attended Laylat Al-Qadr celebrations in the Arts and Culture City of the New Administrative Capital on Wednesday, Sisi called on “partners and friends to mobilize efforts to stop the bloodshed and restore calm and stability to the region.”

INFORMED RELIGIOUS DISCOURSE
The president underlined the need for an informed religious, educational, and media discourse that consolidates moral values and establishes a cohesive society capable of confronting alien behaviors with steadfastness and wisdom.
“Preserving our identity and promoting moral values is a shared responsibility, requiring the combined efforts of all awareness-building institutions, from the family to the school and from the mosque and church to the media,” he added.
Laylat Al-Qadr, or the Night of Decree, holds great significance for Muslims, being the most blessed night in the sight of the Creator.
It is the night when the Quran was revealed in its entirety from the Preserved Tablet to the lowest heaven, and then conveyed by the Angel Gabriel to Prophet Muhammad over a period of 23 years.
This sacred night falls within the last ten days of Ramadan, during which Muslims intensify their acts of worship, hoping for acceptance from Allah before the end of the holy month.
Following Ramadan, Muslims around the world celebrates Eid Al-Fitr, commonly referred to as the smaller feast, with its first day expected to be observed this year in Egypt and several other countries next Sunday.
