Temperature to decline as of Saturday after a warm mass during past week

CAIRO - 6 April 2024: During the past few days, the atmosphere was dominated by a warm mass that covered almost all parts of the Republic, with no chance of rain falling and temperatures rising above averages. 
 
However, according to the expectations of the Climate Information Center at the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, the temperature will begin to decrease in the north parts of the country, and then over the entire Republic gradually, starting from Saturday and throughout the week, which coincides with Eid al-Fitr. (Festival of Breaking the Fast).
 
Dr. Muhammad Ali Fahim, head of the Climate Center, explained that there are successive drops in temperature throughout, expcted to be around 24°C in the north and around 30°C in the south during the day, and also a decrease in the temperature at night, so that the minimum temperature is between 13 to 17°C, and it will not drop below this. 
 
Fahim added that there is clear wind activity throughout the days of the Eid week, with wind speeds between 30-40 km/hour, and gusts increase in the afternoon and late day, and at night, the feeling of a drop in temperature increases.
 
Fahim explained that there is a formation of water mist in the morning in many areas of Lower Egypt and the north of the Republic, and light to moderate and intermittent rain is expected in areas of the northern Delta, Lower Egypt and Sinai on Monday.
 
The head of the Climate Information Center explained that citizens are advised to wear clothes that matches spring weather during the day, saying that the weather tends to be cold at night, which requires wearing a light jacket.
