Run off
The Egyptian National Elections Authority (NEA) said voting was proceeding smoothly on the first day of runoff elections in constituencies where earlier results were annulled by court rulings, with no complaints received so far.
On August 12, the NEA announced the second round and runoff of the 2025 Senate elections. Ten candidates are competing for five individual seats, each allocated to one of the five participating governorates.
Polling stations closed 9 PM local time, marking the end of the first day of the Egyptian House of Representatives elections' run-off conducted at home in 13 out of 27 governorates.
