As many as 186 tourists coming from Italy’s Milan arrived at Marsa Matrouh airport on Tuesday.
Tourism and Antiquities Minister Khaled Anani and EU Ambassador in Cairo Christian Berger will open on Friday a project on renovating and reviving the archaeological village of Shali in Siwa Oasis.
The minister added that those Egyptians will be quarantined for 14 days to make sure that they are safe from coronavirus.
The project will take place on 250,000 feddans, with 50 kilometers on the Mediterranean coast, costing $10 billion.
Security forces managed to apprehend 22 illegal migrants, mostly Egyptians, as they were attempting to trespass their way into Libya.
