Egypt’s Actors Syndicate issued a statement to comment on the crisis of veteran Egyptian actor Mohamed Sobhy with head of Saudi General Entertainment Authority Turk Al Sheikh.

The Syndicate said that it has  followed with admiration the tremendous development in artistic and cultural life in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its great impact on the Arab art, and the syndicate noticed that Mohamed Sobhy announcements stirred was followed by Saudi reactions that indicated that some Saudis are angry as a result of these announcements so it was important for the union to confirm the following:

First Mohamed Sobhy has a great artistic value, and his works are an important part of the history of Egyptian creativity, and no one could detriment his value.

Second every cultural, creative, and entertaining entity in any sister country sets its policies and rules, it is something that must be respected by everyone and there should not be any interference in this regard.

Third the appreciation that Egyptian artists receive and feel in their second country, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is an indication of KSA appreciation of Egyptian art and artists, which is something highly appreciated by the Syndicate.

Fourth based on the great values of Arab art, the syndicate asks from everyone to desist from any announcements that would disturb this wonderful artistic state that our Arab society is witnessing.
