Sudan Independence Day
Sudan marks its Independence Day annually on 1 January, commemorating its declaration of sovereignty in 1956.
Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi sent a cable of congratulations to Chairman of the Sudanese Transitional Sovereignty Council, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, on the anniversary of Sudan’s Independence Day.
