Seawater desalination
During his inspection of the seawater desalination plant in El Arish, Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly affirmed that there are presidential directives to prioritize the seawater desalination sector and to expand the implementation of additional projects in cooperation with leading international companies specializing in this field.
The Prime Minister affirmed the state's interest in expanding seawater desalination projects during the next stage, especially in coastal and border cities, given the importance of these projects in providing part of the local water needs to support various development purposes.
The Parliament approved Wednesday a loan agreement between the Egyptian government, and the Kuwaiti Monetary Fund, for the desalination of sea water project that will took place in the cities of Rafah and Bir al-Abd, in North Sinai.
The Military Production Ministry's Qaha Chemical Industries and AquaSwiss signed a memorandum of understanding to establish seawater desalination plants.
