LeBron James and injured superstars Steph Curry and Kevin Durant were named on Monday in a 44-strong pool of players in contention for spots on the United States Olympic basketball team.
Kevin Durant scored a playoff career high 50 points as the Golden State Warriors blasted their way into the second round of the NBA playoffs by clobbering the Los Angeles Clippers 129-110 on Friday.
Durant left late in the Warriors' loss to the Phoenix Suns on Sunday night with an apparent right ankle injury.
Durant scored eight of his 49 points in the final 1:19 Monday night, rallying the Golden State Warriors to a 116-110 victory over the Orlando Magic.
