Rice cultivation
A meeting held by the state-owned National Water Research Center discussed the Japanese proposal. The irrigation system will be applied in two areas.

It is expected that Egypt will produce about 3.3 million tons this year, while the Egyptians’ annual consumption of rice is estimated at 4.3 million tons.
