Egypt reiterated its call for the Security Council to fulfill its responsibilities in maintaining international peace and security, warning of the serious consequences if the international community fails to intervene promptly to stop the Israeli aggression.
Egypt provided 10,000 ready-made and fresh Iftar (post-fasting breakfast) meals, 7,000 Sohor meals (pre-fasting meal), and 25,000 loaves of bread on the first day of Ramadan in the Gaza Strip as part of the Iftar Campaign, aimed at alleviating the Palestinians’ suffering on a humanitarian basis.
Clashes erupted as tens of thousands of Gazans marched near the Israeli border in a major protest, leaving 16 Palestinians dead and hundreds more wounded.
