In a meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi in Tokyo on Wednesday, Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty said Egypt looks forward to the establishment of a Japanese industrial zone within the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE).
Egypt's PM made the remarks during talks with Japan’s newly appointed Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi on the sidelines of the 2025 G20 Summit in South Africa’s Johannesburg, where he is representing President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
Abe was cremated days after his assassination by a man in his forties while giving a campaign speech in Nara city in western Japan. A private funeral had been held earlier for Abe at the Zojoji temple.
The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has mourned the death of Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, saying he was a “supportive friend and partner” to Egypt.
Abe has received Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi Thursday in Osaka, where they held a session of talks.
Abe said the G7 should work to promote free trade.
The number of cars Japanese automakers produce in the United States is double the number it exports to the country, Abe said.
Egyptian Japanese schools will be inaugurated ten days after the start of the academic year in public and private schools.
