The foreign ministry described the attack as a flagrant violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and a “dangerous escalation” that threatens security and stability in the Arabian Gulf and the entire Middle East region.
The attack caused “severe material damage” at T1 terminal, the army spokesman added.
Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty instructed the consular affairs sector to immediately follow up on the case and take all necessary measures to ensure the safety and security of Egyptian citizens involved, the ministry said in a statement.
