Israel kills dozens of Palestinians every day in Gaza and is currently preparing to expand operations by conquering Gaza City, home to hundreds of thousands of people, and reoccupy the entire enclave.
The fatalities at the aid center belonging to the Israeli- and US-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) in Khan Younis include 15 who died from suffocation due to tear gas fired at crowds and the ensuing stampede.
Hospital officials and witnesses said 31 were shot dead while en route to a distribution center run by the Gaza American Humanitarian Foundation, which is backed by Israel, located near Rafah in southern Gaza.
Among the casualties, five people were killed near sites linked to the GHF, while 33 others lost their lives while waiting for aid trucks in various locations across the region.
Hamas reported in a statement that the recent strikes across northern and southern Gaza have killed entire families, condemning the United Nations and its agencies for their “complete absence of any effective action” in response to these “acts of genocide.”
“The Israelis are going to be involved in providing necessary military security because it is a war zone but they will not be involved in the distribution of the food or even bringing the food into Gaza,” Huckabee said in a press conference.
