Matariya Iftar
Nearly 90,000 fasting people attended this year’s Matariya iftar, reflecting a remarkable example of social solidarity and presenting a powerful image of a united and safe Egypt.
German Embassy staff joined Matariya’s mega iftar prep, rolling mahshi as organisers said about 100,000 meals were made.
Now in its eleventh year, this beloved event has become a hallmark of Ramadan festivities, drawing people from all walks of life to share in the joy and warmth of the season.
This iftar gathering has persisted as a cherished annual tradition, bringing together people from all walks of life along with officials and public figures to celebrate the spirit of Ramadan.
