Egypt’s Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Khaled el-Enani convened on Thursday with Resident Coordinator of the United Nations in Egypt Elena Panova, who recently assumed office.
This came among the state’s efforts to boost the recovery of the tourism sector, with a focus on private sector engagement.
Egypt’s Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli on Monday said the coronavirus pandemic came at a time while Egyptian tourism had witnessed unprecedented performance, as he met with Secretary-General of the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Zurab Pololikashvili in Cairo.
