Hasm Movement
The Ministry of Interior announced on Sunday the arrest of a senior figure in the Hasm terrorist movement, saying in a video statement that he had been involved in a recent hostile scheme targeting the Egyptian state.
The president’s directives for recognition of the victim’s family follow the established criteria of the national fund allocated for honoring the martyrs, victims, missing and the injured of war, security operations and terror attacks, alongside their families.
The interior ministry said a raid was conducted on the hideout of the two elements in Cairo’s Boulaq Ad Dakrour, who opened fire randomly on the forces, promoting a response from the security personnel.
A blast took place in front of Cairo's Cancer Institute building earlier in August, killing 22 people and injuring 47 others.
Security investigations revealed the elements had planned to plant an explosive device in one of Giza's streets, the statement read.
