President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi outlined Egypt’s efforts to de-escalate regional tensions and support negotiations between the U.S. and Iran during a Tuesday meeting with a delegation from the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations.
The Egyptian Foreign Minister stressed the need to resolve the current stalemate in the peace process between the Palestinians and Israelis by resuming negotiations as soon as possible with the aim of achieving a two-state solution, Abu Zeid said.
