Sisi outlines regional stability vision to US Jewish delegation

CAIRO - 2 June 2026: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi outlined Egypt’s efforts to de-escalate regional tensions and support negotiations between the U.S. and Iran during a Tuesday meeting with a delegation from the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations.

The meeting, attended by General Intelligence Service chief Hassan Rashad, focused heavily on neutralizing the economic and political repercussions of regional crises, presidency spokesperson Mohamed El-Shenawy said in a statement.

During the talks, Sisi reiterated that a comprehensive and just settlement of the Palestinian cause remains the central issue for the Arab world.

He emphasized that establishing an independent state based on the two-state solution and international legitimacy resolutions is the only viable path to securing permanent peace in the Middle East.

The visiting delegation, which included the conference chair Betsy Berns Korn and CEO William Daroff, lauded Sisi’s strategic vision for regional stability.

Both sides affirmed the vital nature of the strategic partnership and security coordination between Cairo and Washington in countering shared challenges, including terrorism and extremist ideologies.
