The report was presented by Minister of Planning and Economic Development Ahmed Rostom during the UN forum, which is held under the auspices of the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).
“The COVID-19 pandemic has created a radical change in the concepts of development cooperation, and it has pushed the world to rearrange its priorities.”
Egypt's Foreign Minister noted that the unfairness of distribution made the pandemic be prolonged, calling for continuing the financial support to the International Vaccine Access Center (IVAC).
The minister is also scheduled to visit Washington for talks with a number of World Bank officials and major American companies.
Egypt was elected as a member of the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations as representative of the North African region within the African Group.
