The acquisition of these two Egyptian-based companies is the first international acquisition of Abu Dhabi Ports Group.
The first MoU was signed by Abdel Qader Darwish, Chairman of the Egyptian Group for Multi-Purpose Terminals, and Saif Al Mazrouei, Head of the Transport Sector at Abu Dhabi Ports Group.
CEO of Abu Dhabi Ports expressed his aspiration that the bulk of these investments will be in the port field, stressing that Abu Dhabi Ports has great interest in obtaining serious cooperation opportunities with the Egyptian side in this field.
Abu Dhabi Ports Company recorded a growth in revenues of 21 percent during the first half of 2021, to reach 1.832 billion dirhams, compared to 1.517 billion dirhams during the first half of 2020.
