CAIRO-11 March 2021: Whatever happens for Al Ahly in continental competitions, the team always bounces back in the domestic competitions.

The Red Eagles, who are back from a 2-2 home draw against AS Vita Club, achieved a precious 2-0 victory over Ismaily on Wednesday night at Borg El Arab stadium.

After a goalless first half that witnessed a better performance from Ismaily players who had the upper hand with many chances to open the score but they failed to use them.

On the other hand, Al Ahly kept their energy for the second half and managed to open the score from the penalty spot by Badr Benoun.

Another goal from the substitute, Salah Mohsen, after a fantastic effort that started from halfway line,  secured Al Ahly's victory and added another three points to the team as they are seeking for achieving the sixth consecutive league title and the 43rd in the club's history.

Al Ahly are now in the second place with 27 points from 11 matches and they can jump to the top as they are only three points behind Zamalek who played two games more.

Al Ahly's upcoming match in the league will be against arch-rivals Zamalek on 18 April at Cairo International stadium.
