CAIRO-29 November 2020: Real Madrid suffered another negative result this season in the Spanish league after losing 2-1 to Deportivo Alaves at home.

Lucas Perez opened the score for the visitors after five minutes from the penalty spot while Joselu made the score 2-0 at the opening minutes of the second half after a mistake from Real Madrid goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois.

Brazilian midfielder Casemiro scored Real Madrid’s only goal in the match five minutes before the final whistle but Alaves hung on to secure the three points.

“We have to keep working, recover players and change the dynamics. We don't have regularity. It was our worst start of the season, and we couldn't change the dynamics of the game. That bothers me and it worries me." Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane said after the match.

The Spanish giants lost the third match in the league this season and they are fourth in the standings with 17 points after 10 matches.

Real Madrid’s arch rivals Atletico Madrid, who defeated Valencia on Saturday, have a chance to extend the gap with their arch-rivals to 9 points as they gained 23 points from 9 matches.
