CAIRO –1 July 2017
CAF Champions League returns in the groups stage starting with two matches on Friday, five matches on Saturday and one match between Zamalek and Caps United from Zimbabwe on Sunday.

Al Hilal from Sudan faces his fellow citizen Al Merreikh in the fifth round of the group stage matches. The Sudanese teams are in group A with Etoile du Sahel, the Tunisian and Ferroviário da Beira from Mozambique. The Tunisian team is in the lead with eight points meanwhile the other three teams of the group each have 4 points however, ordered in descending order due to goal difference - Al Hilal, Al Merrikh and Ferroviário de Beira.

Al Zamalek and Al Ahly represent Egypt in the African Champions League. Ahly will play against Zanaco FC the Zambian team at Sunset stadium in Zambia on Saturday July 1 at 3 p.m. Cairo local time, while Zamalek will face the Zimbabwean Caps United FC at Harare stadium in Zimbabwe at 3 p.m. on Sunday.
