CAIRO-1 November 2020: Al Ahly player Moamen Zakria attended his team’s final match in the Egyptian League season against El Gaish, held on Saturday night at Al Ahly stadium.

Zakaria has been away from football for almost two years after being diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).

Zakaria watch his teammates defeating El Gaish 3-0 thanks to goals from Walid Soliman, Geraldo and Mahmoud Kahraba.

Kahraba celebrated the goal the same way Moamen used to celebrate his goals, and revealed a jersey, showing Zakria’s face and a message of support for him.

After the match, Zakaria accompanied Al Ahly president Mahmoud El Khatib and the Egyptian Football Association member Mohamed Fadl to hand the trophy to Al Ahly players, who celebrated their 5th consecutive league title and the 42nd in the club’s history.

Al Ahly players revealed after the game that receiving the title from Zakaria adds more value to the title.

“We are very happy today after celebrating the title with Moamen Zakaria.” Al Ahly captain Mohamed El Shenawy said after the match.

Mahmoud Kahraba commented on Moamen’s attendance in the celebrations, saying “I am very happy today for being with Momen Zakaria, and I wish him a speedy recovery”.
