CAIRO-1 October 2020: Swiss manager Rene Weiler led his team to the Egyptian Cup quarter-finals in his last game as the head coach of Al Ahly.

The Red Devils defeated second division side, Tersana, 2_1 thanks to two goals from Junior Ajayi while Tersana's only goal was scored by Ibrahim Mansour.

Al Ahly are set to announce on Thursday that they have parted away with their team coach and they will announce the appointment of South African manager Pitso Mosimane as the club's new head coach.

The game, overshadowed by the departure of Weiler, was dominated by Al Ahly from the start to the end and they had the upper hand in the game.

Tersana had many chances but it was saved by Al Ahly youngster, goalkeeper Mostafa Shobir, who played his first game with Al Ahly first team.

After the game, Weiler left the press conference as journalists kept asking him about the reasons behind his departure.

Al Ahly will face Abu Qir Fertilizer in the Egyptian Cup quarter-finals.
