CAIRO-12 September 2020: Al Ahly defeat Ismaily 3_0 on Friday night at Borg El Arab in the Egyptian league and take another step towards their fifth straight league title.

The Red Devils destroyed Ismaily after a sensational performance and they are 3 points away from clinching their beloved trophy.

The Red Devils took the lead after minutes courtesy of Ali Maaloul's penalty.

Ismaily had a chance to equalize the score minutes before half time as the game referee Mahmoud Ashour granted them a penalty but Omar El Wahsh failed to convert it to keep Al Ahly in front.

Al Ahly players were more sharp during the second half as they doubled the score by Aliou Badji who received Ahmed El Sheikh's beautiful pass, fainted Ismaily defenders and put the ball in the back of the net.

Minutes later, El Sheikh added the third goal as he followed Walid Soliman's cross, which Ismaily goalkeeper failed to stop, allowing Al Ahly winger to add his name to the score sheet.

Al Ahly have a chance to crown themselves champions on Monday if they defeat Al Ittihad of Alexandria.

Al Ahly are leading the Egyptian league table with 71 points while their arch rivals Zamalek come second with 52 points.
