CAIRO-3 September 2020: Al Ahly announced on Monday that the team winger, Mahmoud Abdelmonem Kahraba, has been fined EGP 1 million for his bad behavior, according to the club statement.

Reports claimed that the player was fined following a training ground bust-up with the team's first-choice goalkeeper Mohamed El Shennawy.

Kahraba accepted the fine and apologized to the club's director of football, Sayed Abdel Hafiz, and his teammate, El Shenawy.

Al Ahly fans hope that this fine will not have a bad impact on the team morale as the team is taking steps towards securing the domestic league title and also prepares for the CAF Champions League semi-finals.

Al Ahly reached 62 points after defeating El Masry 2-0  on Saturday and they are 17 points clear atop of the table.

On continental level, Al Ahly will face Wydad Casablanca in Morocco at the competition's semi-final first leg on 26 September while the second leg is set to be played in Cairo a week later.

The winner will face the winner between Zamalek and Raja Casablanca.
