Saleh Gomaa is in my plans, Weiler

CAIRO-27 August 2020: Al Ahly manager Rene Weiler confirmed that the team playmaker Saleh Gomaa is close to return to the team starting line-up. 

 

The player did not play a single game for the club since Weiler's appointment as the team manager in August 2019. 

 

"Saleh is in my plans. He is training very hard and he will be ready to help the team when he becomes ready." Weiler told press after the team's victory. 

 

Gomaa was expected to return to the team in Wednesday's game against El Gouna but the manager ruled him out of the squad. 

 

Al Ahly's Marwan Mohsen scored a late goal to secure his team's victory over El Gouna in the Egyptian league on Wednesday night. 

 

Al Ahly got back on the right track and the players showed their quality after losing the Derby 3_1 to Zamalek on Friday. 

 

Al Ahly reached 59 points after 22 games and they are 17 points clear atop of the table.
