CAIRO-20 August 2020: Al Ahly Swiss manager Rene Weiler denied the reports that linked him with a move away from the club to take charge of Pyramids.

The Swiss manager signed a one-year extension contract with the Red Devils in June, which means he is linked to the club until the last game of the 2020-2021 season.

Relations between Al Ahly and Pyramids have been strained for a while as many Al Ahly stars refused Al Ahly's offers to renew their contracts to join the new superpower of the Egyptian football.

The 46-year-old manager has been sensational with the club as he led the Red Devils to the top of the league table after 20 games.

Al Ahly are currently enjoying a stellar unbeaten run in the Egyptian league as they have gained 56 points from 18 wins and 2 draws.

The Swiss manager also led the Red Devils to the CAF Champions League semi-finals. The team fans aim to win the African title for the 9th time and for the first time since 2013.
