CAIRO-7 August 2020: Manchester City French defender, Aymeric Laporte, revealed that the Premier League giants have unfinished business in the Champions League competition.

Under Pep Guardiola's management, Manchester City failed to go further than the quarter-finals.

"City have unfinished business in the Champions League, we have been talking about it for a long time, it’s the thing we are missing,” the French defender said.

Manchester City host LaLiga champions Real Madrid on Friday night in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 second leg.

The English side secured a 2_1 win in the first leg in Madrid and they aim to book their place in the competition's quarter-finals.

Laporte added "Last year we won four trophies in the same season but couldn’t win the Champions League, so if it’s our turn this year, perfect.”

City finished second in the Premier League behind the champions Liverpool and they were knocked out of the FA Cup semi-finals.
